Can a Science Alliance project board be used for the Science Expo project?
Yes. Please fill out a project proposal form describing your Science Alliance project and turn it in by the due date ( April 26 ). Just bring your Science Alliance poster board to the MPR on April 26.
What is a “ Tri-fold poster board”
See the example of a completed project board . It will contain information such as graphs, data tables, photos and/or short descriptions to explain what you did and what you learned.
What are the due dates for this project?
Science Proposal Form due March 9 .
Return the signed slip to Ms. Ertola
Turn in your project proposal sheet (attached) that describes what you will be doing for your project. PLEASE ALLOW A FEW DAYS FOR APPROAL. If your project is not approved you may need to submit another idea for approval.
Can I demonstrate my model or do an experiment during the Science Expo?
The projects boards are meant to be “stand alone” exhibits of your project without you!
Can I bring my plants/display/food/model/etc. to show with my board?
There will be very little space in front of your board for displays (about 6 x 18 inches). Also there will be no place to plug in any electric models. Battery operated models are okay. Understand that your model or display may be ruined or damaged. The displays and projects will be unsupervised during the Expo. Also no glass or liquids may be included in displays.
May I do a project that another student is doing?
Yes, but you will gather your own data and make your own board.
